Pat Schultz and his two helpers (daughter CeCe and son Luke) solved this year’s Belle Plaine St. Patrick’s Medallion Hunt. They found it stuck to the bottom of this box on a pole in Hickory Park south of Highway 169. At the very top of the pole is a civil defense warning speaker/system. Schultz said there were some emergency-related references in the first two clues, which helped lead them to the location. Schultz said “some luck” played in as well. Luke and CeCe were pictured in the Herald with their grandmother, Sue Schultz, when the family located the Harvest Hunt Medallion last fall. Pat Schultz, along with Bill Kruschke, also found the St. Patrick’s Medallion in 2014. Accompanying this photo are the first two clues and the third clue that would have been the go-to clue today had the medallion not been found.
