St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan invites the public to enjoy its annual Fall Festival this Sunday. The day’s festivities begin at 9 a.m. when the kids’ fun land and the marketplace open, selling plants, fresh garden produce, linens, jewelry, homemade baked goods and candy, and more. A Mass featuring polka music by the Wendinger Band will begin at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by a chicken and ham dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take outs will be available. New this year is a sports lounge to allow festival-goers to watch the Vikings and Twins games and enjoy locally brewed beverages and hamburgers, hotdogs, fries, and nachos. The Wendinger Band will play on the grounds from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. A large variety of handmade quilts will be auctioned off at 3:30 p.m. in the gathering space at the church, followed by a drawing for numerous prizes.

Cost:  Admission to grounds free; Dinner $12.50 for adults, $6 for 12 and under.
