In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Belle Plaine bus company Stier Transportation decided to do something special on Thursday, May 14. To honor Belle Plaine's students who are bound to their homes during distance learning, the company, which handles the vast majority of Belle Plaine School District's transportation needs, organized a parade using its fleet of about 40 vehicles.

The company brought out its vans and buses and traveled throughout Belle Plaine, driving past many of its usual bus stops. Along the way residents of all ages were there to greet the vehicles from a safe distance. Here's some photos of Thursday's parade.
