Women ages 16-26 of Czech, Slovak or Moravian heritage are invited to compete for the state title in the Miss Czech Slovak Minnesota Pageant set for April 18.

The competition, which will focus on the Czech, Slovak or Moravian heritage of the candidates, will take place at the America Legion Club in Montgomery.

Pageant winners will receive cash awards along with their crowns and have a year of memorable appearances throughout the state of Minnesota. The Miss Czech Slovak Minnesota queen will travel to the Miss Czech Slovak U.S. Pageant in Wilber, Nebraska, in early August.

The pageant will feature ethnic foods to be served at 5 p.m., with the pageant beginning at 7 p.m. A reception and dance will follow the coronation. The  reigning Miss Czech Slovak Minnesota Queen is Autumn Gare of Montgomery, daughter of Joshua and Linda Gare. Miss Czech Slovak Minnesota First Princess is Megan Domonoske, daughter of David and Amy Domonoske of Waterville.
