Early absentee voting for the presidential nominating primary begins on Friday, Jan. 17. Absentee ballots will be available at the Scott County Highway Department building located at 600 County Trail East in Jordan or voters can apply for a ballot online at www.sos.state.mn.us. All voters are encouraged to verify their voter registration.

Absentee voting ends on Monday, March 2.

The Presidential Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 3.  Belle Plaine city residents can vote at the City Hall Council Chambers located at 218 Meridian Street North.

The primary is the voters’ opportunity to narrow down the candidates seeking their party’s nomination for president.
