A St. Charles woman died Tuesday, Oct. 1 after her car crashed through a guard rail on Eagle Creek Ave., according to the Scott County Sheriff's Office.
Scott County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch received a report of a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Eagle Creek Avenue near the intersection of Pheasant Ridge Road in Credit River Township.
Initial investigation indicates that the vehicle, a 2008 blue Ford Expedition, was traveling westbound on Eagle Creek Avenue when it crossed the center median and eastbound lanes. It then left the roadway where it entered the ditch and impacted several trees.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Monica Ann Hill (56) of Saint Charles. Hill was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on-scene. Hill was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
It is suspected that the Hill possibly suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle before the crash, according to the release.
“We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time,” said Sheriff Luke Hennen. “We are also thankful that nobody else was injured in this incident.”
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this incident by the Prior Lake Fire Department, Allina Ambulance Service, Minnesota State Patrol, and Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
