Free Park Daus

On Saturday, June 12, all 75 Minnesota state parks and state recreation areas will offer free admission to everyone. It's a great opportunity to get out and explore someplace new or visit a favorite spot. The entrance fee waiver for the fee-free day does not cover amenity or user fees for activities like camping, rentals, or special tours.

For more information, visit http://bit.ly/MNFreeParkDays or for a list of links to each state park's web page, visit go.usa.gov/xsPbC.

Minnesota state parks are open year-round and there is a free day in each season. The fall fee-free day is Friday, November 26.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reminds visitors to know the 'Key 3' things when visiting a park.

  1. Plan to be flexible. Explore new destinations, and try to arrive early in the morning. Parks are busy as more people get outdoors, so we encourage you to discover a new favorite this summer!
  2. Arrive prepared. Check visitor alerts and download maps before your trip. We encourage you to bring everything you might need as we transition back to full service.
  3. Recreate responsibly. If you are not vaccinated, please wear a face covering indoors and stay 6 feet from others. Help conserve these special places for the future by staying on trails and leaving no trace.
