Alcohol was a contributing factor in a Saturday morning crash that sent a 21-year-old Le Sueur woman to the hospital.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, at 7:52 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, Alexandria Marjorie Fulghum, 21, of Le Sueur, was traveling southbound on Highway 22 by mile post 60, south of Kasota, when she collided with a northbound Peterbilt tractor truck operated by Paul Jeffery Blixt, 61, of Mound.
The state patrol found alcohol to be a contributing factor for Fulghum, who suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by Mayo Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
The impact deployed the airbags in Fulghum’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Impala. Both parties were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash.
State Patrol was assisted by the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office and Kasota Fire and Rescue.
