Grain farmers and agri-business professionals interested in grain marketing can attend “How to Write a Pre-Harvest Marketing Plan”. This free meeting is being provided by the University of Minnesota Extension with sponsorship from Minnesota Corn Growers Association and locally by the State Bank of Belle Plaine.

Determining when and how to market a crop is a challenge in today’s market with low corn and soybeans prices in 2019. Successfully marketing commodities in low price times are one of the top ways a producer can generate a higher margin. Learn how to write a pre-harvest marketing plan. Review your input costs, learn about pricing tools and execute a pre-harvest plan in a simulation game to put you in a better position with grain marketing strategies.

This workshop will be conducted by Marketing Specialist Ed Usset and David Bau, Extension Educator in Ag Business Management from the University of Minnesota.

When: Wednesday, March 20, 1 – 3:30 pm

Where: Belle Plaine Vets Club, 221 North Meridian St., Belle Plaine

Cost: Free, no pre-registration required.
