Santa Claus greeted guests at the Santa Shack

Santa Claus greeted guests at the Santa Shack during the weekends of Dec. 8-9 and Dec. 15-16, 2018

Santa is coming back to town and the Belle Plaine Police Department will be there to greet him once again with their annual Santa Shack.

“The unions saw an opportunity to give back and went all in,” Officer Ben Pederson of Belle Plaine, who is at the helm of the Santa Shack this year, said. “This time of year can be especially hard on families. The unions made some phone calls to the North Pole and convinced Santa to return to Belle Plaine.”

The Santa Shack, which will allow children (and adults) of Belle Plaine to meet Santa Claus while enjoying the company of fellow Christmas enthusiasts, as well as coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies, will be set up at the corner of Main Street and Meridian Street.

Santa will be in his shack on the following Saturday and Sunday afternoons:

Dec. 7 from 1-3 p.m.

Dec. 8 from 1-3 p.m.

Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m.

Dec. 15 from 1-3 p.m.
