Last week, Scott County Public Health was informed of the first  confirmed case of COVID-19 in Scott County. The individual is a  Prior Lake resident, according to the Scott County website. The individual is over 50 and is believed to have been exposed to the illness through travel.

As of Monday afternoon, March 16, the total number of cases in Scott County had risen to five confirmed cases, but public health officials regularly remind the public that there are more cases that are not confirmed.

As of Monday afternoon, there are 235  confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota, with one death, which was confirmed on Saturday, March 21.

Not all cases of COVID-19 are tested, so the total is not a representative of the total number of people in Minnesota who have or had COVID-19. The number of positive cases includes the cases that were tested and returned positive. All data are preliminary and may change as cases are investigated.
