Southern Valley Alliance (SVA) is the recipient of a MN COVID Food Fund Grant from Hunger Solutions MN. With this grant, SVA was able to purchase hygiene supplies and diapers to distribute to victims of domestic violence in Scott and Carver counties.
“We are so thankful to have received this grant from Hunger Solutions,” says SVA Executive Director Christie Larson. “Many of our clients are struggling financially, and this year has been particularly difficult for them. Being able to provide them with hygiene products and diapers helps ease a little of their financial burden.”
SVA collects new personal care, household products, and diapers year-round to be able to distribute to their clients. If you would like to donate, please connect with Southern Valley at www.svamn.org or by calling (952) 873-4214.
Hunger Solutions MN works to end hunger in the state. They take action to assure food security for all Minnesotans by supporting programs and agencies that provide food to those in need, advancing sound public policy, and guiding grassroots advocacy.
