An arrest warrant has been issued for a Wells woman who allegedly took an Arlington resident’s vehicle without permission on Thursday, July 8, according to the Arlington Police Department.
The criminal complaint against Katherine S. Kreuser, 41, states that Kreuser asked a local resident to borrow her vehicle and the resident refused her the vehicle on Wednesday, July 7; it was stolen on Thursday.
In their investigation, law enforcement found that the vehicle had been used in a hit and run in Mankato the evening that it had been stolen. The vehicle was empty when it was found and had been equipped with an ignition interlock device. The device requires the operator to blow into it to start the vehicle. When someone does so, the device takes a picture of the person blowing into the machine.
Law enforcement reviewed the photos and now have multiple photos of Kreuser whose whereabouts are unknown. She currently has an active warrant in Blue Earth County for failing to appear in court. For this reason, it is believed that she will not respond to a court summons in this case and a warrant has been requested.
