Guitarist and vocalist Vinnie Rose will kick off the second annual “Music on the Lawn” series, hosted by The Lutheran Home Association. Rose will perform from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6, on the lawn at The Lutheran Home, located at 611 West Main Street in Belle Plaine.

Rose is fluent in the musical stylings of greats such as Buddy Holly, James Taylor, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffet, Eric Clapton, Keith Urban, Coldplay, John Mayer, Sam Smith, and many more. He designs performances that are dynamic, cross-generational, skillful, and extremely entertaining. He adds up to 10 tracks of live guitar parts using a looping pedal to many of his songs. The live looping technique allows him to create ensemble sonority and frees him up to take guitar solos.

The concerts are free to the public. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. The event is weather-permitting. Cancellations and rescheduling updates will be posted on the TLHA BP Campus Facebook page. The series continues on June 13 with music by Traveled Ground.
