Brogan Michael Schaefer, 10 of rural Henderson, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 7 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur. Visitation will be from 3–7 p.m. at the church on Sunday, October 6, and also one hour prior to Mass at church on Monday.
Brogan was born on May 28, 2009 in Waconia to Jake and Dana (Carney) Schaefer. He was the first of four children and proved to be an awesome big brother. Brogan played baseball and football; he loved being on the field with his friends and was a great team player.
He enjoyed being outdoors riding his dirt bike, or mountain bike, and hunting and fishing. Brogan was involved with Cub Scouts and picked up the knack for woodworking and working on projects in the shop.
Brogan was very devoted to his faith, and becoming an altar server meant a great deal to him. He was kind hearted, caring, and passionate. He will forever be cherished and missed by all of his family, friends and his puppy, Remi.
He is survived by his parents, Jake and Dana; siblings, Violet, Emmet, and Lucille “Lucy”; grandparents, Mike and Shirley Carney and Mark and Deb Schaefer; aunts and uncles, Jill (David) Buck, Matt (Corine) Carney, and Emily (fiance, Pat Fahey) Carney; cousins, Liam and Michael Buck, and Morgan, Grayson, Frank, and Audrey Carney; and great-grandmother, Janice Reinhardt.
Brogan is preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
