David Trost

David “Dave” Lee Trost, 44 of Belle Plaine, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 14,  2019 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. David was a devoted family man and was truly loved by his family and friends.  
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Wagner Funeral Home in Jordan with a visitation two hours prior to the service at the funeral home with Reverend Mark Johnson officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.
On November 20, 1974 in Shakopee David was born to Dennis and Mary (Nelson) Trost. He grew up in Jordan and graduated from Jordan High School.  
He married Shelly (Woestehoff) on October 4, 2008, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  They were blessed with two wonderful sons, Parker and Landon. ‘Being a father’ was David’s most accomplished role. He was a wonderful father to his two beloved sons.
In addition to being a devoted father and family man, he enjoyed fishing, camping, sports and darts. He was a supervisor at Forterra Concrete in Elk River for many years.  
David will be remembered for his positive attitude, quick wit, sense of humor and being the ‘life of the party’. He truly enjoyed making his presence known! David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. 
David is survived by his best friend, Shelly (Woestehoff) Trost; sons, Parker and Landon; mother, Mary Trost; mother-in-law, Diane Woestehoff; sister-in-law, Jenny (Ben) Halbert; brother-in-law, Eric (Jessica) Woestehoff; uncle, Bob (Taryn) Nelson; aunt, Dorothy (Vernon) Gerdes; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Trost; grandparents, Robert and Esther Nelson and Herb and Hannah Trost
