Elmer Buszmann

Elmer Buszmann, 91 of Belle Plaine, passed away on December 27, 2019 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday morning.Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Elmer was born in Belle Plaine on June 25, 1928 to George and Emma (Meierbachtol) Buszmann.
On June 11, 1952 he married Liela Belter at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carver. They farmed near Belle Plaine all their married life.
He loved dancing and listening to polka music, building model horse harnesses, fishing, and taking care of his animals. He especially loved the land he farmed all his life.
Elmer is survived by his sons, Gary (Colleen) Buszmann of New Prague, Craig Buszmann of Burnsville, and Keith (Dawn) Buszmann of Belle Plaine; five grandchildren, Sara (Brian) Elliott, David (Crystal) Buszmann, Alex (Stacie) Buszmann, Jessica Buszmann, and Jeremy Buszmann; seven great-grandchildren, Oliver, Lola and Ida Buszmann, Adelyn, Paxton and Hudson Elliott and Julian Buszmann; nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two sisters; and his wife, Liela in 2015.
