Jeanette was born in New Prague on September 7, 1945 to Leo and Margaret (Muggli) Sullivan. She grew up in St. Thomas and graduated from Belle Plaine High School.
On August 29, 1970 she married Kirk Gloege at St Thomas Catholic Church.
Jeanette worked in administration for Scott County in various roles over the years. She also loved working at Canterbury Downs for over 25 years as a mutual teller.
If you knew Jeannette, you know that she was always on the go. She loved to bowl, play bar Bingo, shop at Kohl’s and she went to Mass and Annie’s for coffee daily. She was very active in politics and was an avid volunteer as well as being very involved in the community of Belle Plaine. Jeanette took great pride in being on the St. Patrick’s Day Committee and participating in the St. Patrick’s Days events annually, volunteering at the annual Bar-B-Days celebration and all of the activities at the OLP Church, just to name a few of the many organizations she generously donated her time to. She was rarely seen without her sidekick Stretchy and more than anything she loved being Grandma.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Kirk; children, Casey Gloege (fiancé, Michelle Kelly) of Des Moines, IA and Heidi Piche (special friend, William Miller) of Maple Plain, and Ric Loomis; grandchildren, Carter and Jack Piche, Cash Gloege, Nicolas, Ryan and Marysa Loomis; siblings, Joan (Bob) Hartmann, Terry (Sandy) Sullivan, Theresa “Tilly” Sullivan, and Dan Sullivan; sister-in-law, Mona Sullivan; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mag; sister and brother-in-law Mary Kay and Donnie Halloran; and brother, Pat.
