Michael Gerald Fahrenkamp, 52 of rural Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on his farm near Montgomery.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Rev. Tim Redfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Mike was born in Shakopee on January 9, 1967 to Gerald and Arlis (Runke) Fahrenkamp. He grew up near Belle Plaine where he helped farm the family farm. He graduated from Belle Plaine High School in 1985. He continued to farm later purchasing his own farm near Montgomery where he has operated his dairy business for the last 21 years.
Mike is survived by his sister Jodi (Jeff) Foster of Belle Plaine; nieces, Kendall and Kaelin Foster; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his friends at the Sales Barn which he considered his extended family.
Mike is preceded in death by his father in 1998 and mother in 2014.
