Lyle grew up in Le Center, MN. After graduating from Mankato State University, he was hired by Ross Perot (EDS) where he helped pioneer the use of information technology in business. Following moves to Texas and California, Lyle settled his family in Apple Valley, MN. Through his career, he helped usher in the use of computers in the banking, insurance, railroad, food and communications industries.

Though he served in many important corporate roles, Lyle was always guided by his small town values and unquestioned commitment to family, friends and community. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He and wife Nancy (Myers) enjoyed retirement in Florida for many years, logging thousands of miles on their tandem recumbent bike and building strong friendships. Lyle will be deeply missed by those who held their most heartfelt memories of him.

Lyle is survived by son Rick Bosacker, MD (Gretchen, MD) of Cambridge, New Zealand; grandchildren Alec Bosacker of Pennsylvania, Lauren Bosacker of Wisconsin, and Jennifer, Smith and Chase of New Zealand; brother Curt Bosacker (Karen) of Le Center, MN and sister Brenda Kotasek (Chuck) of St Peter, MN; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends in MN, FL and beyond.

He was preceded in death by son John Lyle Bosacker in 1980, his parents, Nancy’s parents, nephew Chris Bosacker in 2013, sister Bonnie Phillips in 2020, wife Nancy in 2020, and brothers-in-law Charles (Jim) Phillips and Richard Myers in 2016.
