Ruth Dietz, 92, of New Prague, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague.

Ruth Dietz, 92, of New Prague, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 28 at 12 noon with Fr. Eugene Theisen officiating at Bruzek Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. – noon. Burial will occur at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Ruth was born on December 11, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Leo and Marie (Babineau) DeLisle. She graduated from Catholic high school in Minneapolis.
Ruth met Alvin M. Dietz at the Prom Center and they later married in Minneapolis on May 14, 1960.
In addition to raising her family in New Prague, Ruth also worked at Hendricks chick hatchery, Cedar Lake Farm, bookkeeper for Rademacher Photography, and seamstress for Valley Fair.
Ruth was an avid seamstress, and enjoyed world traveling.
She met monthly with her home extension group for 50+ years. She was active in Le Sueur County 4H.
Ruth loved playing cards, knitting, cross stitch, and quilting. She and Alvin enjoyed dancing in their earlier years.
Ruth is survived by her son, Peter (Carol) Dietz of New Prague; daughter, Theresa McDaniel (Bruce Peltonen) of Belle Plaine; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert.
