Over the past months, citizens of Belle Plaine have heard and read a great deal about the serious concerns associated with the proposed two 36-unit apartment buildings at 561 Elk Street S.

All Belle Plaine residents should read the Destination Belle Plaine 2040 publication on the city website. It is the blueprint and guide for our city administration and city council on the direction and goal of our city for the next 20 years.

As a community, we are committed to demonstrating courage to face complex and sensitive issues directly, engaging multiple voices, reflecting on lessons of the past to inform our future, and actively invest in contingency planning.

On Wednesday, January 31, at 7:30 p.m., the Friends of Rush River (FORR) met at the Henderson RoadHaus Event Center.
