After Sibley East came our firing with a 10-0 run to catch Belle Plaine on their heels, the Tigers came roaring back thanks in large part to a series of baskets from forward Josh Gregory.

The Tigers continued until they hit a 13-point scoring streak.

Both teams saw their shining moments, but the Tigers edged out the Wolverines at the close of the first half and led 34-28.

Belle Plaine made their presence known in the second half as they climbed to a 52-39 lead. Sibley East in turn fired back and closed the gap to 57-51 with just under seven minutes on the clock.

But Belle Plaine remained calm under pressure and ultimately secured a comfortable 72-62 Minnesota River Conference win.

Gregory went home with 30 points.
