The Belle Plaine dance teams did not need to travel far to get top finishes against tough competition. On Thursday, Jan. 9,  the jazz and high kick teams took to Jordan, where they both took first place.

Belle Plaine’s high kickers beat out Randolph in second place and  Tri-City United/ Le Sueur-Henderson in third last Thursday.

On Saturday, Jan. 11, Belle Plaine hosted an invitational competition.

Taking second in both high kick and jazz, Belle Plaine’s dancers were on the heels of top finishers as the top scores were tight, with Austin taking first in high kick and Delano taking first in jazz.

The junior varsity teams took third in both high kick and jazz.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, Belle Plaine was set to host the Minnesota River Conference Championship Meet. The results of the contest were not available in time for publication.
