Scott West Sweeps at Woodbury Quad

On Thursday, Jan. 9, the Scott West Panthers took to Woodbury where they went unbeaten against three other teams; East Ridge, Park and Woodbury.

Opening things up against East Ridge, who gave up four forfeits, the Panthers took their first match 54-20.

Next, the Panthers took on a wily Park lineup and walked away with another win, 42-24.

Finishing things off the evening against Woodbury, Scott West met their stiffest challenge. Panther Heavyweight Hunter Struffert managed to secure the pin to fend off the host team and earned Scott West a 41-30 win, marking a clean sweep against the competition Thursday evening. 

Belle Plaine boys basketball falls to Jordan

On Tuesday, Jan. 7, the Belle Plaine boys basketball team hosted Jordan to determine the Minnesota Conference front-runner.

In the end an early bombardment from Jordan who outscored the Tigers 47-32 in the opening half, was too much for Belle Plaine to handle as they fell 79-68.

Belle Plaine girls basketball extends winning streak to 11 with win over TCU

The Belle Plaine girls basketball team stepped on the gas and never let off the pedal when they hosted the Tri-City United Titans on Thursday, Jan. 9. 

Belle Plaine blasted into a 43-29 lead at the half and extend that to a 76-55 Minnesota River Conference win at the final buzzer.
