The Belle Plaine High School’s tennis team season came to an end last Thursday, Oct. 3, when it was defeated by Annandale 1-6 in the Section 2A tournament at Annandale High School.

Singles

In the first singles match, Belle Plaine senior Isabella England lost to Jennah Groth, 1-6 and 1-6. At second singles, Tiger Emma Driehorst fell to Josie Burd, 6-7 (3) and 0-6.

Elliana Fahey, at Belle Plaine’s third, spot lost to Olivia Honsey 0-6 and 0-6.

Tiger Kamryn Stier was defeated 0-6 and 0-6 by Annandale Faith Simon.

Doubles

At number one doubles, Kadence Bran De Leon and Katie Piampiano fell to Ann Roberts and Faith Millner 3-6, 7-5 and 4-6.

The second doubles team of  Abby Bristlin and Kimberly Teal took home the only win for the Tigers beating Jillian Kulm and Callie Broughton 6-2, 7-6 (5).

Courtney Eppen and Elissa Moonen were defeated 4-6 and 3-6 by Annandale’s third doubles team of Ella Yeager and Rilee Norgren.
