Mankato East had few answers for the Section 2AA no. 1 seed in Scott West on Thursday night in Jordan.
The section quarter-final dual was over almost before it began as Scott West rolled to a 36-0 lead thanks to pin falls from Panthers Matt Randolph at 106, Adam Kelvington at 120, Tory Pumper at 126 and Leo Siekmann at 132, as well as forfeits accepted by Zack Tracy at 113 and Ashton Holbrook at 138.
Mankato East's Spencer Ruedy secured the pin over Scott West's Preston Kes at 145, putting the team score at 36-6.
Panther Luke Fogarty won a hard-fought 3-1 decision over Braden Hendel, but Scott West standout Jace Demmers brought back the pinfest with a pin over Brian Thilges at 160.
Hunter Kvasnicka of Scott West lost to a third-period fall to Cael Willaert at 170.
After Trent Rassmussen accepted a forfeit at 182 for the Panters, Jack Wiese lost by fall to Mankato East's Kolin Baier at 195.
Another forfeit accepted at 220 by Scott West's Gavin Fahey preceded yet another Panther pin at heavyweight earned by Hunter Struffert, who took down Rieley Fleming.
Unsportsmanlike conduct out of Fleming put the team score at a dominant 63-17 win for the Panters.
Scott West will head to Mankato West on Saturday, where they are set to wrestle in the semi-final dual at 4 p.m.
