The Tigers are moving on to the semifinals this weekend after both boys and girls basketball had big wins this week in their subsection tournaments. 

Girls Basketball

After defeating Tri-City United 59-29 at home in the subsections on Wednesday night, the girls team will go on to play Glencoe-Silver Lake on Friday at home for the Varsity Subsection Tournament at 7 p.m.

The winning team will go on to play at the North 2AA Championship on Tuesday, March 23. 

Boys Basketball

The boys team also won their matchup on Thursday against Norwood Young America at home with a final score of 73-63.  On Saturday, they will play at Glencoe-Silver Lake for the semifinals at 2p.m.

The winner will go on to complete in the North 2AA Championship on Wednesday, March  24. 

Wrestling

After losing the 2AA High School Wrestling Championship last week, the Panthers turned their attention to the individual sections.

On Wednesday, March 17, several wrestlers competed in the individual sections tournament at Mankato East. 

Eight Scott West athletes competed well enough to advance to the State Prelims which will be held on Saturday, March 20, at Redwood Valley. 

Those wrestlers are Matt Randolph, Isaac Williams, Zach Tracy, Tory Pumper, Landon Church, Ashton Holbrook, Luke Fogarty, and Carson Schoenbauer. 

Two qualifiers in each weight class will advance from the State Prelims to the final action of the state individual tournament at St. Michael Albertville next weekend.
