Scott County Administrator Lezlie Vermillion provided a brief COVID-19 update on behalf of Public Health Director Lisa Brodsky at the county board meeting on Tuesday, June 1.

Vermillion stated that this is the first week in over a year where Scott County had zero congregate care facilities reporting a new COVID-19 case.

She said 95 percent of the county’s 65 plus population has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. She said 68 percent of the county's 16 plus population has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

Scott County Public Health has given out 39,260 COVID-19 shots. Moderna made up 89 percent of public health’s vaccines. Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson made up the rest of the shots.
