On Friday, Dec. 18, students from Trinity Lutheran School sang to residents of The Lutheran Home Association.

“I’m glad that we could do something for the residents,” said sixth grader Sophie Werner.

The students stood outside the windows on the east side of the property and sang Christmas songs to the residents who were located inside.

“I like singing Christmas songs, and I can’t see my grandma right now,” said sixth grader Celia Nielson.

With that in mind, Nielsen felt this was a special opportunity for her to bring joy to someone else’s grandparents.

Her favorite song to sing was "Deck the Halls" and Werner enjoyed singing "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing."

It's wonderful that the students sang at the Lutheran Home. Where are the masks? Where is the distancing? Where is the appropriate adult role modeling?
