Belle Plaine City Council

Belle Plaine City Council met for a special meeting on Monday, June 28, to approve liquor licenses for two new businesses.

After a public hearing, the city council approved the on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses on the request of Emily Roggerman, for Jamesons Roadhouse and Bar, located at 351 Enterprise Dr., on the Emma Krumbee's property.

The liquor licenses will be effective until June 30, 2022 and will need to be renewed annually.

Council also approved the on-sale and Sunday liquor licenses on the request of Alex Gomez, for El Loro Mexican Grill, following a public hearing.

The liquor licenses will be effective until June 30, 2022 and will need to be renewed annually.

 El Loro will be located at 749 Enterprise Dr. E., in the former Mei Dong Garden location.

El Loro has other locations in Bloomington and Savage.

The restaurants serve fresh authentic Mexican food, including an array of Mexican entrees, appetizers, soups, and salads.

No one spoke at either of the public hearings.
