A rogue storm cell moved quickly through the area Friday afternoon, bringing strong winds and hail that caused damage to trees. About a inch and a half of rain fell.

According to NWS, the storm had the potential to produce 60 mph wind gusts and penny sized hail throughout the affected south metro area.

The powerful storm blew large tree limbs down on S. Elm St. in Belle Plaine.
