Cole Richard Peterson, 25, of Minneapolis, formerly of Mound, passed away on April 12, 2021.

Cole was born March 18, 1996. He was a graduate of Mound Westonka High School Class of 2014, he participated in wrestling, cross country and band. His dad coached him in baseball, football, and wrestling. In 2017 and 2018, he attended MCTC.
Cole will be remembered for boundless energy and a great big smile. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad; watching the Vikings with family and friends; and was very excited when he became an uncle for the first time. Cole will forever have a champion in his little sister, who was his very best friend.
Cole was an old soul who never recognized his own value. He will be terribly missed.
He is survived by parents, Todd Peterson of Belle Plaine and Lynne Chance Peterson of Mound; brother, Jake (Kristina) Luby; sisters, Leslie (Jeff) Smith and Madelyn Peterson; nephews, Ronan Smith and Ned and George Luby; niece, Charlotte Smith; grandparents, Dick and Jean Peterson of Belle Plaine, Bob and Judy Stamm of Minnetonka, and Tim and Ann Chance of Royalton IL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Cole is preceded in death by beloved uncle, Terry Chance; and cousin, Max Larson.
