Included in the Belle Plaine Heralds of the past few weeks (and certainly numerous times beforehand) have been most impressive full back page acknowledgements of several of our Belle Plaine High School groups.

An article in last week’s paper announced the approval of storm damage relief funds for Le Sueur County. While I am relieved that Minnesotans recovering from the devastation will receive financial assistance, I believe this is a time to reflect on how our government prepares and responds to emergencies.

The Prince Legacy Henderson Project (PLHP) is raising $40,000 to install a life-size bronze statue of Prince near the current bench and mural.

In response to last week’s letter to the editor, officers feel it is important to inform the public regarding the changes in the Belle Plaine Police Department since Chief Stolee took over the leadership in 2010. 

On Wednesday, January 31, at 7:30 p.m., the Friends of Rush River (FORR) met at the Henderson RoadHaus Event Center.
