Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

Who controls freeway shut downs for protesters and rioters?

On September 27, 2020 at 9 p.m., Eyewitness News told a story about a 59-year-old woman from Zimmerman, MN that had an extreme medical emergency on May 29, 2020 while the riots were going on. She was delayed getting specialized treatment during these riots and is now paralyzed from the waist down.

She had a spinal stroke and needed to be airlifted to a metro hospital that specializes in emergency stroke care, but airspace over the metropolitan area was restricted at the time and major highways were closed due to the rioting. Because of the rioting, she didn’t get the specialized treatment in time. She was told she had missed her window for the safe injection. The spinal injection has a very good chance of succeeding if it is administered quickly.

I’d say whoever controls shut downs of highways for these protesters and rioters, if you read about this lady, how would you feel if it would have been you?

Who pays for the protesters and rioters meals and lodging? And how would you protesters and rioters feel if it would be someone in your family or you that was denied help when this shot could break up the blood clot?

It seems to me all you protesters and rioters think of is to shut down highways and roads, destroying property, and looting.

I also sent this letter to the Governor and mayor and asked for a reply. I gave my phone number and address and have never gotten a response back. The Governor opened up all kind of sports. Well my sport is ballroom dancing but you won’t open that up, why?
