Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

Rep. Brian Pfarr is doing an outstanding job for District 20A. He has hit the ground running in his first term and has been a tireless advocate for Minnesotans, especially those who have been impacted the most during the pandemic.

As the Republican Lead on the Taxes Committee, I can tell you there has been no better ally in pushing for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan conformity than Rep. Pfarr. As a banker, Brian worked with businesses early in the pandemic who needed these funds in order to keep their workers employed and cover their overhead costs when government forced them to shutdown.

Now as a legislator Rep. Pfarr is fighting for businesses. He’s pushing for full exemption of forgiven PPP loans, as well as Unemployment Insurance. He is also advocating for Minnesota families by standing against the DFL’s calls to raise taxes, an absurd proposal when we have a $1.6 billion surplus and billions of dollars coming from the federal government.

I am proud to work alongside Brian as we help Minnesota families and businesses recover from COVID-19. The communities of District 20A could have no better voice representing them in St. Paul than Rep. Pfarr.

Sincerely,

State Representative

Greg Davids Preston
