Is there anyone else in Belle Plaine that has been here a while that wonders why our current police force with 10 full time officers is incapable of offering the same services

I’m writing to respond to Joe Benko’s letter which recently appeared in the Herald. Mr. Benko’s statements are not entirely accurate, and I feel the need to address them so voters have the whole story.

After reading about the upcoming referendum I felt that I had to write a letter asking about why the level of administration staffing in the district has increased so much from 2013.

I would like to thank the Belle Plaine City Council for changing our neighborhood by approving the Belle Court apartment complex at 561 Elk St.

On Monday September 16 at 6:30 p.m. our Mayor and City Council will vote on two controversial items.
