Parker Borreson shot a 45 to pace the Tiger boys golf team last Tuesday, April 27, in an MRC golf meet.

Southwest Christian took top honors with 167, followed by TCU (207), Belle Plaine (208), and Mayer Lutheran (220). LS-H/Sibley East/Cleveland was incomplete.

The Tigers finished within one stroke of Tri-City United, after finishing six strokes back a week earlier.

Brian Klemik (52) was second for the Tigers, followed by Isaiah Shutes (54), Ryan Bergs and Will Degree (57), and Aiden Tuchtenhagen (58).

The MRC boys teams were in action on Tuesday, May 3, at the Montgomery National Golf Club, but results were unavailable at press time.

Their next meet will be Tuesday, May 11, at the Le Sueur Country Club.

The Tiger girls were also third in their MRC meet at the Le Sueur Country Club on Tuesday, April 27.

Senior Daisy Vinkemeier paced the Tigers with a 57. Eighth-grader Sophia Kruschke shot a 69, and eighth-grader Olivia Walter scored a 69. Fern Sullivan shot a 98.

Southwest Christian won the meet with a 201, and LS-H was second with a 204. Belle Plaine (298) finished just ahead of TCU (301). Mayer Lutheran was incomplete.

Looking Ahead

The MRC girls teams were in action on Tuesday, May 4, at the Montgomery National Golf Club, but results were unavailable at press time.

Next they will play at ShadowBrooke on Monday, May 10.
